Lately the childhood obesity epidemic is more and more prominent on the news. Obesity in a child can aggravate the risk for more child health issues like diabetes, hyperlipidemia, heart health issues, lack of sufficient bone density, sleep disorders and problems, psychological problems and symptoms and gastro-intestinal spasms. Such disorders can be expected to continue into adulthood. Recent studies have shown that if a child is obese it is extremely likely that adult obesity will follow.
Despite all the above, it is possible for parents to make a positive impact on the lifestyle of their offspring and give them the guidance that will ensure a happy and healthy adulthood.
What role can parents play to have a positive impact on obesity amongst children? Parents must address the causes of child obesity. Parents must give their children a lot of attention and help them to feel wanted. Children that are neglected by their parents have a much higher likelyhood of obesity than their peers. Your kids should not be pressured into eating more than they want to during meals, you will train your child’s metabolism to function at a higher level than what would be healthy for the child.

Panic attacks and driving are a a source of great distress for many people. It’s bad enough to have an episode of panic anywhere. Imagine how horrible it is to have one in a moving vehicle and have the understandable concern that you’ll lose control and crash.
Some people have a fear of driving period. For others, the problem only comes up in specific situations such as being in rush hour traffic.
The situation with panic attacks and driving is brings up a different issue. As you know, people can experience panic attacks in any number of different situations – in the office, in crowds, at home alone and so on. It’s not good to have a panic attack, but having one while driving is especially bad for a number of reasons.
First, as I mentioned, a driver experiencing a panic attack has the additional fear of causing an accident.
Also, we live in a car-oriented culture. If someone doesn’t drive, they’re at a disadvantage in many areas both professionally and socially. Even if someone lives in a city with great public transportation, there are still occasions like vacations and family visits or trips with friends.
